Gaetano's Jazz Trio
“Gaetano Letizia is a true rarity, a guitarist, singer and songwriter who is equally skilled at playing blues and jazz. No matter the idiom, his music is always swinging, bluesy, has philosophical lyrics, and is a joy to hear.”
— Scott Yanow, Jazz Journalist & Historian

Gaetano "Tom" Letizia
Jazz Guitarist, Composer
Gaetano, also known as Tom, began studying jazz at age 15 with local jazz pros in Northeast Ohio. Early work with touring groups and big bands led him to become a soloist and composer for jazz groups from trios to full big bands, including the Kent State and Baldwin Wallace Jazz Bands.
The connection between blues and jazz fascinated Gaetano, and after lessons with Pat Martino, George Benson, and numerous jazz masters, he developed a flair for writing and performing exciting and accessible jazz music.
Numerous performances and national shows with jazz artists—including Mike Clark (Herbie Hancock), Joe Beck, Mundell Lowe and others—gave Gaetano a ton of experience with the best jazz players.
Composer/guitarist of sixteen blues and jazz guitar albums, Gaetano has received stellar reviews in Downbeat, Guitar Player, and many national/international publications. His music is often played on radio stations across America as well as most foreign countries.
Described as “a guitarist’s guitarist” and a “virtuoso” by music critics, Gaetano’s Jazz Trio excites audiences by involving them in the shows and playing exciting music in all the popular jazz genres that every crowd loves.
Presenters who hire Gaetano always love the audience comments stating how much they enjoyed the performance and want to come back to.
